# Satellit Chaussee – Berlin-Mitte

Satellit Chaussee is 1000 Satellites' Berlin location: six floors and roughly 7,000 m² at Chausseestraße 117, in Mitte. It is the largest space in the network, and the range inside reflects that. Coworking areas offer both flexible and fixed desks, private offices are sized for 2 to 20 workstations, and fully equipped floors take 60 to 250 — an address that works as well for an individual member as for a company moving an entire department in.

Meeting and event rooms hold groups of 4 to 75, with daylight, fast internet and current presentation and video-conferencing technology for sessions that run partly on site and partly remote. Service, catering and personal support can be added to a booking, so a workshop or a seminar does not have to be organised twice. Between the meetings there is a staff canteen with its own kitchen and generous outdoor terraces, and a location team works on site on weekdays.

The technical standard is the one 1000 Satellites applies across its network: fibre internet, curved or dual screens, and hardware already waiting at the desk — keyboard, mouse and docking station — so a laptop is the only thing anyone needs to bring. Post service and lockers cover the practical side of using an address every day rather than occasionally.

Chausseestraße is one of Mitte's older thoroughfares, running north from the museum quarter past the Dorotheenstädtischer cemetery, where Bertolt Brecht, Hegel and Fichte are buried, and close to the Nordbahnhof S-Bahn station — a station that spent the Cold War decades as one of Berlin's sealed "ghost stations," where western trains ran through without stopping while the city above was divided by the Wall. The street has filled back in since reunification with offices, housing and the studios, agencies and startups that give this part of Mitte its character. The U6 stations Naturkundemuseum and Oranienburger Tor are both a short walk away, as is Berlin Hauptbahnhof, which puts most of the city and the long-distance network within reach without a car.

A membership bought here also works at every other satellite — in Hamburg and Bremen, in Munich and across the Südwest region — in the same way a membership bought anywhere else in the network works here.
