# Satellit Neustadt – Coworking in the Palatinate Wine Region

1000 Satellites operates Satellit Neustadt, a 33-workstation coworking space with 10 team offices in Le Quartier Hornbach, a converted historic site in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, right in the heart of the Palatinate wine region.

Neustadt gives its name to the Deutsche Weinstrasse, the wine route that runs along the foot of the Palatinate Forest through the vineyards surrounding the town, and the address here trades the density of Mannheim or Karlsruhe for a working environment set among that landscape - a genuinely different proposition from the rest of the Rhein-Neckar satellites rather than a smaller copy of them.

Le Quartier Hornbach is a redeveloped historic building rather than a new-build office, and 1000 Satellites has fitted it out for 33 workstations alongside 10 separate team offices, which makes this satellite better suited than most to a small company or a project team that wants its own room rather than a shared open floor. A 120 m² Innovation Space anchors the site for larger sessions, and five video and phone boxes, one office box and a relax box give members somewhere to take a call, focus without interruption, or simply step away from the desk for a few minutes - the relax box in particular is not something every satellite in the network offers.

The amenity list is thorough for a satellite of this size: wifi, monitors, ergonomic ASR-compliant desks, access-controlled entry, a kitchenette, mail service, lockers, showers and a lounge area, on top of meeting rooms and an event space bookable on site - a fuller set of amenities than the desk count alone might suggest, closer to what larger city-centre satellites offer. Free parking is available directly at the building, which matters in a town built around a wine-route economy rather than dense public transport, and a large outdoor area plus four EV charging points nearby extend that convenience to anyone driving an electric car.

Getting there works well by road and reasonably well by bus: Satellit Neustadt has direct access to the A65 motorway, useful for the drive north to Ludwigshafen and Mannheim or south to Landau, and bus lines 507 and 509 plus mobility-on-demand services cover the last stretch for anyone without a car. Staffed opening hours run 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, matching the standard schedule used across most of the network. On site, the Schubkärchle meeting room seats up to 4 people for smaller sessions, while the 120 m² Innovation Space scales up to 30 for workshops and events.

A membership at Satellit Neustadt also opens the rest of the 1000 Satellites network, built by a company spun out of BASF's innovation unit Chemovator in 2021 on the premise that workspace should sit closer to where people actually live. Daypass, Basic and Plus cover 1, 5 or 10 access days a month at any satellite nationwide, Unlimited gives daily Monday-to-Friday access to open desks network-wide, and Fix Desk provides a dedicated 24/7 desk tied specifically to this location. Every workstation across the network meets the same ASR standard as the desks here, network access is bundled into every pass except Fix Desk, and pass pricing has been in place since 1 November 2024, quoted excluding VAT - so a member based in the Palatinate wine country can just as easily spend a day at Satellit Taylor or Satellit Glückstein in Mannheim when a project calls for it.
