1000 Satellites operates Satellit Taylor, a 166-workstation coworking space in a renovated historic building on the former Taylor Barracks site in Mannheim - and, notably, the company's own registered head office.

Taylor Barracks was, for decades after the Second World War, part of the American military presence that shaped this stretch of Mannheim, one of several installations housing US forces in the city until the drawdown of American bases across Germany eventually returned the site to civilian use. The building 1000 Satellites now occupies has been renovated rather than replaced, keeping its historic shell while fitting the interior out for modern coworking - a fact that gives the space a weight and solidity that a purpose-built office block rarely has.

Choosing this address as the company's registered office, at Havellandstraße 10, is worth noting on its own: it means the team running the network works out of the same building its members do, rather than from a separate corporate office elsewhere.
