# Satellit THE MALT

1000 Satellites operates Satellit THE MALT, a 50-workstation coworking space in a converted malt factory on the historic Diamalt site in Munich-Allach, on the northwestern edge of the city. Allach grew up as an industrial district long before it became a residential and mixed-use suburb, and the Diamalt works - which malted and processed grain for food and pharmaceutical use for the best part of a century - was one of the anchors of that history. The building's current life as a coworking space is a fairly recent chapter in a much older one.

The conversion keeps a clear trace of the factory in its bones while fitting it out for modern work: 50 workstations, five meeting rooms, and a community area with a kitchen and cafe sit inside what was once industrial floor space.
