# Cowork Up Ruzafa

Cowork Up Ruzafa sits on Calle Carlos Cervera, a quiet residential street in the heart of Russafa, the neighbourhood Valencia itself calls its design district. You find it by its yellow door with a small brass plate. Around it are the things that made Russafa famous: independent galleries, vinyl shops, ceramicists, vermouth bars and bakeries, with the Mercat de Russafa a couple of minutes' walk away and the Estació del Nord and the Plaça de l'Ajuntament both reachable on foot. The metro is a couple of minutes from the door. It is the kind of street where you can work all morning, step out for a coffee and a pastry, and be back at your desk before anyone notices you left.

Inside is five hundred square metres of open, street-level workspace. Tall windows run along the façade and pull daylight deep into the room, the walls are white, the floor is a pale resin, and a warm wooden wall carries the Cowork Up sign at the far end, next to a high bar table with yellow stools that doubles as the social heart of the floor. Plants are everywhere, hanging over the desks, standing between them and framing the windows, which is why the operator describes the house as plant-heavy and why members photograph it through the leaves. The desks are long, solid wooden tables with comfortable mesh chairs, arranged in rows so that you can choose between the bright window side and the quieter middle of the room.

The infrastructure is the same as at Puerta del Mar and it is generous. The connection is symmetrical one-gigabit fibre with a backup line, so a video call does not depend on luck. There are five sound-treated phone booths for calls and demos, a fully equipped kitchen with freshly brewed specialty coffee, and a bowl of fresh fruit restocked every day. Colour printing, scanning and courier pick-up are on hand, the front desk signs for your parcels, yellow lockers can be rented by the month, and indoor bike racks keep your bike safe and covered. Ruzafa is also the location with the shower, which matters in a city where so many people cycle in.

Two meeting rooms complete the floor. Sala Discovery is the intimate one, for up to four people, with a round table, a whiteboard, a screen and natural light, made for client calls and small huddles. Sala Thinking is the larger room, for up to six, with a long table, whiteboard, screen and coffee, suited to workshops, brainstorming and team meetings. Both can be booked by the hour without a membership, and the monthly plans include a weekly allowance of room time that pools and rolls over if you do not use it.

For the hours between tasks there is a chill-out corner by the street window with a leather sofa, bright yellow beanbags, a low table and a pinboard full of event posters. Ruzafa is also the Cowork Up house where dogs are welcome, with a gentle rule that the floor stays calm on busy days. Every week the community calendar fills up with something: Beer Day, Pizza Friday, happy hours and startup networking, shared with members from more than thirty countries.

The plans are flexible enough for almost any working week. You can come for half a day or a full day, try a week, take an afternoons-only plan, a twenty-hour part-time pass, a full-time hot desk with included meeting-room hours, or a dedicated fix desk, which at Ruzafa is popular enough to run a waitlist. Every plan can be cancelled any month, with no setup fees, and a virtual office gives your company a registered address here. The space is open Monday to Friday from eight in the morning to half past eight in the evening. It suits designers, indie developers, small studios and freelancers who want a creative, social and green place to work in the most characterful neighbourhood in Valencia.
