# Engel & Völkers Work Edition Altona, Hamburg

Große Elbstraße runs along the Holzhafen, the old timber harbour basin on Altona's Elbe waterfront, a stretch better known these days for converted warehouses, the Altonaer Fischmarkt and unbroken views across the working river to the container terminals on the far bank. Engel & Völkers Work Edition Altona takes full advantage of that setting: a floor-to-ceiling glass lobby opens straight onto the harbour and the red-brick building opposite, and the breakout lounge — sofas, low tables, a well-placed plant — looks out past the promenade to the cranes still loading ships across the water. It is the most industrial and least polished of the three addresses, in the best sense: a workspace that keeps Hamburg's working port in view rather than turning its back on it.

Unlike City and HafenCity, Altona operates on membership only — there is no Day Use, Half Day Use or day-pass bundle at this address, only monthly Flex Desk, Personal Desk and Business Suite memberships. Business Suites here run from a 16 m² one-person office to a 60 m² space for a small team, each private, lockable and fully serviced, sitting alongside open desk rows with dual-monitor setups and their own harbour-facing windows. Meeting spaces range from an intimate room for four, hung with black-and-white city photography, up to a larger boardroom with a big-screen videoconferencing setup, both looking out over the water rather than into a windowless box.

Membership here carries the same core package as the rest of the network — 24/7 app access, reception and mail handling, a monthly meeting-room credit, daily cleaning, free coffee, tea and filtered water, and regular community events — and Altona is one of the two dog-friendly Work Edition buildings alongside City, so members' dogs are welcome on the floor. Underground parking is available in the building, putting the Altona waterfront, the Fischmarkt and the rest of the district within easy reach for anyone driving in.
