# St. Oberholz Coworking Berlin Schöneberg – Roxy Friedenau

St. Oberholz Roxy occupies part of the Roxy-Palast, a landmark building completed in 1929 in Berlin-Friedenau and designed in the clean, functional lines of Neue Sachlichkeit — New Objectivity. Built as a cinema, the Roxy screened its first silent film, "Andreas Hofer," in the year it opened, later became a discotheque called La Belle once the cinema closed, and has been under monument protection since 1988. Sankt Oberholz now runs coworking and flex offices across large parts of the building's first floor and a studio created inside the former theatre's fly tower — the tall space above the old stage that once held scenery and rigging.

That layered history gives the space real character alongside practical coworking basics: flex and fixed desks with 24/7 access, phone booths for calls, private offices that lock, and meeting rooms sized for anything from a small workshop to a full team session. A shared kitchen with free coffee, a lounge area, reception and mail service round out day-to-day life, and a virtual office plan — including St.Dropscan digital mail scanning — lets a business register here without taking a desk.

Friedenau itself is one of Berlin's calmer, leafier residential districts, part of the wider Schöneberg area, offering members a working environment noticeably quieter than the coworking floors of Mitte or Kreuzberg, while still being well within reach of the rest of the city.

The Friedenau S-Bahn station is roughly two minutes' walk away, with the Rubensstraße/S Friedenau and Friedenauer Brücke bus stops a few minutes further, and Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz U-Bahn station about ten minutes on foot — enough options to reach central Berlin quickly from a distinctly local base.
