Techspace Goswell Road occupies the former Tanqueray Gordon & Co gin distillery in Clerkenwell, on the border of Islington and the City — and the redevelopment treats that heritage seriously. The scheme combines the original distillery buildings, revitalised to preserve their history, with new Cross-Laminated Timber and Glulam extensions built from sustainably sourced forests, cutting carbon emissions by around 43% compared with a conventional concrete build; prefabricating those elements off-site also reduced construction traffic by roughly 70%. The result is BREEAM Excellent-rated, placing it among the top 10% of UK buildings on ESG credentials, and Techspace describes it as its highest-quality workspace to date.

On top of the sustainability story, the building is simply well-equipped: a café and bar, landscaped roof terraces and balconies looking out over Clerkenwell and Farringdon, an events space, secure bike storage, showers with towel service, a production room and a dedicated calm room all sit alongside the office floors. Flexible private offices are available for teams of 8 to 44 desks, with larger self-contained options for 50 to 100 people available on request, and Techspace's in-house design consultants will work with tenants on furniture, layout, partitions, phone booths and branding to tailor a suite to the team moving in.

Farringdon station, with its Elizabeth line, Thameslink and Underground connections, is around five minutes' walk, putting the whole of London within easy reach.
