# Techspace Kreuzberg

Techspace Kreuzberg occupies a converted industrial building on Lobeckstraße, a few minutes' walk from Moritzplatz, and it is laid out the way Berlin has built working blocks for more than a century: around courtyards. The building wraps itself around two private internal courtyards, and inside, the old industrial structure has become more than 4,200 square metres of high-ceilinged office space full of natural light. More than 500 members work here, in a mix of company offices, dedicated desks and flexible coworking, and the result has the feel of a small campus rather than a single office floor, and that sense of a working community spread around shared outdoor space is what people come to Techspace Kreuzberg for.

The courtyards are the heart of the place. One has ping-pong and swings as well as breakout tables for lunch, and together with a balcony and terrace they give members somewhere to step outside between calls that most offices in central Berlin cannot offer. Around them, the building is organised into courtyard units that give room to around twenty companies, with private offices ranging from six desks to eighty-four. Larger units can be connected through the courtyards to form a self-contained area of roughly 170 desks, so a company that arrives with a dozen people can grow to a hundred and more without leaving the address its clients and candidates already know.

Everything a team needs day to day is part of the house. There is a staffed reception, access around the clock, bookable meeting rooms, post handling, cleaning, bike storage, showers, breakout areas, and a members' café, and the building runs on symmetric gigabit internet. Dogs are welcome, which in Kreuzberg is close to a requirement. For events, The Annex works as a members' lounge during the day and can be hired for functions in the evening: a private venue of about 150 square metres with room for fifty people seated or more than a hundred standing, well suited to a meetup, a product launch or a company party without booking an outside venue.

For individuals, the way in is The Studio, the building's coworking space. A day pass gives a single day on the shared floor and is the easiest way to try Techspace Kreuzberg; the unlimited membership opens every shared desk whenever you like, with meeting room credits, courtyard access and community events; and the dedicated desk gives you a permanent place of your own with round-the-clock access. Teams take a private, lockable office, fully serviced and ready to move into, priced per desk per month, so the calculation scales cleanly with headcount. A community team runs events for members throughout the year, which is one reason freelancers and early-stage teams stay on long after their first month.

The neighbourhood is the other half of the appeal. Lobeckstraße sits in the heart of south-east Berlin, in an area the operator rightly describes as bustling with personality. Moritzplatz, with the U8, is about four minutes away on foot and also marks the start of Oranienstraße, one of Kreuzberg's best-known streets for bars, galleries and late dinners. Prinzenstraße on the U1 and U3 is around ten minutes' walk, and Mitte begins just to the north. By our own count there are more than forty cafés and sixty restaurants within 800 metres, so client lunches and team evenings never need much planning.

Techspace Kreuzberg suits startups and scale-ups that want room to grow inside one building, tech and creative companies that value a characterful industrial setting over a glass tower, and freelancers or remote workers who want a well-run coworking floor with courtyards to step into. It also suits companies that want to host their own events, and teams that like knowing Techspace runs a second Berlin building at Eiswerk on the Spree as well as workspaces in London.

The starting price of each plan, from the day pass to the per-desk private office, is listed on this page, and the exact offer depends on the size of the team and the term. Tell us how many desks you need and when you would like to move in, and we forward your enquiry to the team at Techspace Kreuzberg and help you arrange a viewing. Our service is free for you, with no commission.
